Fine Art of Florida Landscape Painting

Landscape painting discussion

In this blog article we will discuss a painting in my portfolio of fine art landscape paintings. Landscape paintings have always been a way to add depth and emotion to an art collection. A room’s decor may also be drawn from a favorite piece of landscape art which I often suggest to a client in a decor color session. Now of coarse a landscape painting can be realistic or abstract or anywhere in between regarding style. The  style of art I create generally ranges from semi-realistic to impressionistic and can be considered expressionistic in terms of subject and color at times. Often I will include people or animals as subjects of a landscape painting. In the case of today’s example I will show you an impressionistic work of art that I am currently working on. I will call this piece ‘morning light’. It has a feel of fresh cool misty air and natural lighting that is extremely calming yet stimulating.

As I am developing this painting I am making photos of  the progress. Sometimes really good strokes have to get covered in the overall finished artwork as layers increase to produce what I want. A pallet knife is used to drag on pure paint mixtures.

I will update this article as soon as the artwork is finished and a limited edition print will be available.
