Self described as an artist and a craftsman.  I filter everything through my unrelenting passion for art. Much of my time is spent in my studio painting and drawing designs inspired by learning techniques and researching the wonderful artists of the world. My art reflects my environment. Whether it be nature, music, or the realm of ideas I will find a way to create a visual display of the way I feel about what I’m creating. Each work of art I make comes to me in the form of a vision which I develop in my mind first by feeling the emotions that stir up the expression soon to be artwork. I dive into the feelings of inspiration, developing the possibilities and forming a picture that I can bring to the paper or canvas. For instance when I feel like going out into nature to paint ‘in plein air’ I search out a setting of richness and beauty.  I look for a place to appreciate spending the several hours time it takes to start and finish the painting. I have to satisfy the deep desire to create a beautiful object from nature to bring home and share with the world.
